    Medicine Hat – Earlier in 2020, the Government of Alberta announced additional capital infrastructure funding to municipalities and Metis Settlements through the Municipal Stimulus Program (MSP). The City of Medicine Hat submitted five projects for consideration, and has received approval to proceed with the projects as submitted.

    Medicine Hat – In accordance with the additional province-wide restrictions announced by the Government of Alberta, the City of Medicine Hat will close all entertainment, cultural and recreational facilities effective Sunday, December 13, 2020. Hot tubs, spas or swimming pools that were incorrectly installed or serviced may present an unsafe condition, posing a safety risk to persons or property.

    Medicine Hat – On Monday, December 7, City officials will present the 2021 Budget Update to City Council for approval. The 2021 Budget Update reflects the City’s enhanced Accelerated Financially Fit Initiative, which aims to address a $23M gap created by the loss of oil and gas dividend revenues from City-owned assets.
