Medicine Hat – The Medicine Hat Regional Airport has implemented additional changes for travelers to limit the possible transmission of COVID-19. Hours of Operation at the Airport Terminal will be further adjusted to 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday through Friday.
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat is reminding residents to use Medicine Hat Transit for essential travel only, which includes getting groceries, attending medical appointments or going to and from work. “Physical distancing expectations remain in effect for passengers,” said Gordon Dykstra, Superintendent of Transit Operations.
Medicine Hat – As the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic continue to evolve, the City of Medicine Hat is monitoring all aspects and restrictions closely and is making decisions in the best interest of the safety of our residents, visitors and staff. As a result, the Gas City Campground in Medicine Hat, AB will remain closed for the month of May.
Medicine Hat – In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the dynamic economic challenges ahead, the City has chosen to not renew the contract with venue management firm ASM Global and commence oversight of the Canalta Centre. Current provincial and federal restrictions have limited the operational capabilities for the Canalta Centre venue, and the current outlook from Alberta Health and Canada Health authorities indicates that public restrictions can be expected for the remainder of 2020 in an effort to mitigate virus transmission.
Medicine Hat – To further prevent the spread of COVID-19, the City of Medicine Hat has, until now, been advising residents to refrain from using outdoor play structures in both City parks and school playgrounds. Effective immediately, these spaces are closed to the public.
Medicine Hat – Despite the expected warm weather for this Easter long weekend, the City of Medicine Hat urges residents to stay home and practice preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19. “The virus is still spreading,” said Merrick Brown, Director of Emergency Management for the City of Medicine Hat.
Medicine Hat – City Standing Committees and Commissions will continue to meet as scheduled, with adjustments in place to ensure alignment with current Alberta Health restrictions related to COVID-19. A new Ministerial Order allowing municipalities to host meetings electronically to ensure recommended practices from Alberta Health was announced on March 20, 2020.
Medicine Hat – City Council will meet as scheduled on Monday April 6 at 6:30 p. m. with adjustments in place to ensure alignment with current Alberta Health restrictions related to COVID-19.
